ILM-certified and tailored specifically for ports to equip supervisors with the confidence, capability, and behaviours to lead effectively in a 24/7 port environment.
Suitable for
The course is suitable for all supervisors or aspiring supervisors working in any role within a port. It has been shaped by professionals across operations, marine, engineering, police, and business support.
Outline of topics
- Know the context: Understanding the realities of frontline port supervision.
- Know myself: Leadership mindset, self awareness, resilience, and personal strengths.
- Know the job: Shift leadership, communication, conflict resolution, time management, team building, and performance.
Duration
Nine days – typically across three months to help embed learning.

Blend of face-to-face and online trainer-led sessions.
