Skills

Port Skills Group

This group focuses on port skills, learning and development, to share and build upon the work taking place in ports around apprenticeships, careers, qualifications and future skills needs in the sector.

The Port Skills Group brings together representatives from PSS member organisations to share ideas and support skills development across the ports sector. Engagement from members of all sizes, and across a wide geographical area, is key to its success.

PSkG meetings are a chance to share best practice, raise awareness of skills initiatives and resources, exchange industry data, and network with colleagues in learning and development, HR, and training roles.

PSkG Chair: Fraser Wallace, Head of Harbour Operations, CalMac.

PSkG Vice Chair: Kathryn Angus, Port Health and Safety Officer, Portsmouth International Port.
