This is a PSS organised course.
Overview
Enables those with ESO responsibilities, Harbour Masters, and those managing ESOs to understand and manage the risk of explosives in ports. It highlights the dangers of cargoes that are not classified as explosive, but that have a volatile and explosive nature under certain circumstances.
Delivered by Liz Nelson of Cranfield University, Dr Qamar Khan of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Trevor Lawrence of Cranfield Ordnance Test and Evaluation Centre (COTEC).

- Technology of explosives.
- ESO responsibilities.

- Explosives security.
- The day will include an explosives demonstration.
