Programme Overview
Difference Between Supervision & Management
Learn the differences between being an effective supervisor versus truly leading.
Communication & Feedback
Effective communication techniques and methods are explored including overcoming challenges and understanding personal differences.
Delegation & Motivation
Delegation is more than just ‘assigning work.’ It is a method of upskilling and demonstrating trust, which ties in with motivating your team and getting the best from people.
Leadership Preferences
What kind of leader are you? Explore your own leadership preferences and characteristics using a range of scenarios, validate your current thinking and gain clarity on your strengths and weaknesses.
The Challenge
Working as part of a team, you will address a range of typical and relevant ‘challenges’ often presented to leaders. Solutions to these will be presented to the wider group.
This programme will utilise a range of case studies and scenarios relevant to ports designed to test your supervision and leadership qualities, validate your current position and ultimately improve your overall leadership confidence and skill set.
