With a history dating back to 1856, The Mission to Seafarers supports the men and women working at sea when they need us most, as they experience loneliness and mental health issues, combined with limited access to internet onboard ships. We have over 200+ ports in 50 countries, operating day and night, 365 days a year.
The object of the Charity is to promote the spiritual, moral and physical well-being of seafarers and their families worldwide.
We are a Christian Charity which belongs to the Anglican Communion. We presently have 9 active Seafarer Centres in the UK with one office space for local pastoral support; and ship visiting in many other UK ports and docks, carried out either by Chaplains and /or and trained ship visitors.
The aim is to meet and visit every ship that docks where there is a seafarer centre and in the surrounding area and establish any need that we can help meet.
