Portico Shipping is a deep-water cargo terminal in Portsmouth on the UK’s south coast. Close to the main shipping channels, we’re ideally placed to handle sea freight from ship to shore and beyond. Our two deep water quays can accommodate sub-Panamax vessels, and with direct motorway access just one minute from the terminal we get cargo out on the road in no time.

Portico Shipping remains the UK market leader synonymous with importing fresh fruit and has a growing cargo portfolio which includes containerisation, aggregates, agribulks, project cargo and general ad hoc cargo.

We have state of the art equipment to move goods with ease. This includes four mobile harbour cranes, who can flex their muscles up to 125 tonnes. Our expert crane operators can also perfectly co-ordinate tandem lifts of a combined weight up to 250 tonnes.

Ample quayside space, alongside temperature controlled and conventional warehouses means we can store cargo until it is ready to be moved on. Our experienced team can provide businesses with access to scheduled container services on a standalone basis.

We have a key facility for managing damaged and distressed cargo, offering disposal solutions for a wide range of goods.
