News |Published: Feb 10, 2025
PSS marks the start of National Apprenticeship Week 2025 by launching the PSS Guide to Apprenticeships in England.
The guide has been created by Port Skills and Safety to highlight the importance of apprenticeship programmes in attracting and training new recruits and upskilling the current workforce. It provides details on how to set up a port apprenticeship programme with links for further information and case studies from ports and harbours with successful schemes in place.
It focuses on the apprenticeship standards and funding in England. Other guides are being produced for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
