PSS Members’ Conference – 02 July 2024

Conferences

Every year, all PSS members are invited to come together to discuss the key issues of safety and skills in ports.

In 2024, the annual conference will include even more time to network and speak with exhibitors. The afternoon session will see the finalists of the inaugural PSS awards presenting on safety and skills initiatives which they have undertaken.

Learn, share, discuss and meet members at this popular event.

New for 2024, PSS awards will see members invited to submit case studies in three categories, the top three finalists will present their initiatives in the afternoon session of the conference.

The PSS Membership Awards have three award categories: Best Safety Moment, Best Skills Initiative and Best Members’ Collaboration, recognising the three areas which PSS believe ultimately make ports safer.

The top three entries in each category will have the opportunity to present their project to the PSS Members’ Conference, taking place in London during Maritime Safety Week 2024 and the winners will be voted on by their peers at this event. This means that all PSS members can benefit from the ideas shared and should be able to leave the conference with a raft of new ideas to take back to their own workplaces.

We believe these awards will be quite unique in the sector, both because they are going to be judged but those working in the sector, and also because all those at the conference will be able to find out more about the entries, rather than just hearing which organisation is judged the winner. We hope that all PSS members will consider entering in at least one category.

The awards are open to all members and the deadline for submission is Friday 26 April. The top three entries will be invited to present their project to the PSS Members’ Conference taking place on Tuesday 02 July, where attendees will vote on the winner.  Award sponsorship is also available, please contact us for more information.
