Supervisor Development Programme: 13 May 2026

PSS is pleased to advise that the new ILM Level 2 accredited Supervisor Development Programme will commence on 13 May 2026.

The course is suitable for all supervisors or aspiring supervisors working in any role within a port. It has been shaped by port professionals across operations, marine, engineering, police, and business support.

Outline of topics:

• Know the context: Understanding the realities of frontline port supervision.
• Know myself: Leadership mindset, self awareness, resilience, and personal strengths.
• Know the job: Shift leadership, communication, conflict resolution, time management, team building, and performance.

Training dates:

The course consists of nine sessions – three in-person and six online trainer-led days.

• Session 1: 13 May (in-person)
• Session 2: 27 May
• Session 3: 10 June
• Session 4: 24 June
• Session 5: 22 July (in-person)
• Session 6 : 05 August
• Session 7: 26 August
• Session 8: 09 September
• Session 9: 23 September (in-person)

Course fees:

Non-members rate: £1,875 + VAT

Members Rate: £1,438 + VAT
