Port Skills and Safety will welcomed the start of Maritime Safety Week on the 01 July 2024. This week is dedicated to promoting a safe maritime industry, through sharing of best practice and promoting the skills needed by our workforce to ensure that everyone in the port industry is trained to a high standard and able to go home safe at the end of each day.
One of the highlights of the week is set to be the PSS members’ conference, following on and improving on the 2023 conference, this year will once again see members return to Stamford Bridge for a day of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Maritime Safety Week serves as a crucial platform to address challenges, share knowledge, and foster collaboration among PSS members, industry stakeholders, and government bodies. As well as the PSS conference, the week-long initiative will encompass various activities and website articles highlighting the key port safety concerns and measures that can be undertaken to mitigate risks.
Across the week PSS will highlight the key accident statistics from the 2023 review, announce the results of the annual Port Happiness survey and present articles on key safety concerns for the sector.
To keep updated with activities, follow the PSS socials on Twitter and LinkedIn and the hashtags #maritimesafetyweek, #MSW and #maritimesafetymatters throughout and beyond the week.
