These National Occupational Standards (NOS) detail the competencies required of a port supervisor.
A port supervisor is responsible for first line directing and managing the operational personnel and activities associated with the transfer of cargo and passengers between the vessel and cargo storage area/passenger terminal.
The NOS were produced by Port Skills and Safety, in conjunction with employers and stakeholders.
