This knowledge qualification is based on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Port Operations and has been developed in close consultation with industry.
It provides a broad introduction to the practices and processes of stevedoring for operators involved in the loading and unloading of ships cargo.

This is a level 2 qualification.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification though candidates should have the potential to achieve the units within it.
Candidates must have the minimum levels of English and maths to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes and the external assessment.
Typical duration
The total qualification time is 200 hours.
