Shoreham port apprentice announced as Safer Tomorrow competition winner

Many congratulations to Megan Blundell, Data Technician Apprentice at Shoreham Port, for her winning entry for the PSS Safer Tomorrow Competition. Megan’s insightful and engaging presentation was a clear winner in the competition and the £100 prize will be presented to her during a PSS visit to Shoreham in the coming weeks.

Megan’s presentation was clearly and concisely narrated with slides focusing on several aspects of the future of ports, including how they become faster, smarter and safer, through improvements in sustainability, technology and wellbeing.

Megan also predicted and responded to likely challenges that ports may face in a new technologically advanced future and addressed how training, culture and collaboration will be key.
