Published: Mar 23, 2026

For the sixth consecutive year, the last week in March marks PSS Mental Health in Ports Week, a campaign with articles and discussions focused on the importance of mental wellbeing as a vital part of creating safer and more supportive port environments.

This year’s campaign explores how mental health is influenced by the everyday realities of port operations. Throughout the week, we will publish articles exploring key elements of positive mental health awareness. This year’s themes include:

  • The impacts of shift work.
  • Fatigue and resilience.
  • Physical health and mental wellbeing.
  • Men’s mental health.
  • Women’s health.
  • Diversity and inclusion.

We will also be revealing the findings from the fourth ports happiness survey. This survey provides valuable insight into how port workers are feeling, how mental wellbeing is being supported, and how this has evolved year on year. If you haven’t completed the survey yet – there’s still time.

In addition to the website articles, we will continue the conversation on our LinkedIn page where we invite you to contribute to the above topics or any other wellbeing at work issues that are important to you. Use the tag #MHiP2026 to keep the conversation going.
