Maritime UK Chair Robin Mortimer urges companies to support skills projects
News |Published: Jan 23, 2023
Maritime UK Chair and Port of London CEO, Robin Mortimer, has urged companies to support the PSS and Maritime Skills Commission joint project to collect ports workforce data.

In a video message, Mr Mortimer highlighted that the ports workforce research will enable strategic workforce planning, identification of skills shortages and forecasting the impact of planned investment projects on the future workforce.
“We need companies to respond,” he said. “Without a robust evidence base, the future work of the Commission will be less valuable and relevant.”
