Fully revised and updated general cargo SiP launched

PSS is pleased to present the fully revised and updated Safety in Ports guidance 002 – General Cargo. Following the launch of SiP 000 Guidance Framework last year, this revised SiP is focussed solely on the safe movement of general cargo through ports.

This SiP was revised by a PSS Working Group comprising representatives from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), trade unions and port operatives from PSS members to ensure it fully represents the work undertaken in ports. The SiP is therefore presented in collaboration with the HSE, Unite the Union and Nautilus International.

The SiP is available free of charge to non members, and PSS members also have access to an illustrated version, a SiP compliance checklist and a range of supporting resources.
