Fatal incident at Port of Liverpool

Port Skills and Safety Ltd is saddened to hear of a fatal incident occurring at the Port of Liverpool this week. We send our condolences to the family and colleagues of the deceased.

PSS, the collective body for safety and skills in UK ports, is committed to ensuring that everybody working in and around ports is able to go home safely at the end of the day. We will be working with all those involved in investigating this incident to understand the root causes and take whatever steps may be needed to learn the lessons and avoid any repetition in future.

All PSS members are committed to safe working practices and sharing the root causes of any incidents to ensure all lesson are learnt. We will share the outcomes of these incidents when the individual investigations have been completed.
