Founded in 1861 and now celebrating over 160 years of service, Red Funnel is the original Isle of Wight ferry company. Operating a lifeline service 365 days a year with over 30,000 sailings between Southampton and two Island terminals in East Cowes and West Cowes. Their talented team of more than 500 colleagues and fleet of 7 vessels carries over 3 million passenger and over half of all freight between the mainland and island, transporting in excess of 150,000 freight vehicles per year. A key maritime employer in the Solent region, committed to being a champion for British Maritime and proudly won the Maritime 2050 Award in 2019 for their work supporting British shipbuilding. Their newly launched ESG strategy, Changing Tides, guides and aligns actions and decisions, and charts their course to operating more sustainably, with the ultimate goal of achieving net zero.
