For Maritime Safety Week 2021, Port Skills and Safety is looking at Marine Pilots; Key personnel in ongoing ship/shore relations. However, instead of concentrating on just one aspect of pilot safety, we decided to look at multiple angles vital to effective and safe pilot operations. As part of this, the Port of London Authority kindly invited us to document their Pilot Training Simulator and look into how it facilitates the proper communication of skills to both experienced and new pilots alike.
