PD Ports, one of the UK’s major port groups, has achieved Gold status in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards for its continued commitment to improving health and safety standards across all of the Company’s sites

Russ McCallion, PD Ports’ HR Director, commented: “Health and safety is our number one core value at PD Ports. It informs every decision we make and every action we take. It’s vital to us that everyone who comes in contact with our business walks away in the same state of health in which they arrived.  We're extremely proud that our commitment to ensuring a safe work environment has been awarded Gold status. Our employees work tirelessly to correct issues, identify new processes and innovate our current practices to improve health and safety.”

"This is only the second year we have entered the RoSPA awards having received a Silver award last year, achieving the Gold award is a credit to all our employees across the whole group for ensuring that our Health & Safety Management systems are implemented consistently and to a high standard across the business especially in our frontline operations. Our aim now is not only to maintain this standard but to keep on improving and driving our safety culture forward" David Jones, Group Head Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

As a background, RoSPA Gold is awarded only to those organisations that have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

Congratulations to fellow PSS Member Port, PD Ports on this incredible HSE recognition!
