Report on the 19th Ports Industry First Aid Competitions

The 19th National First Aid Competitions were held in Llandudno on 1 May 2008. A total of 19 teams competed on the day, 13 in the Mainstream Lanes and 6 in the Novice Lane together with 3 reserves and 5 Individual competitors.

Port First Aid Team Wins Trophies at the St John Grand Prior Challenge

Congratulations go to teams from the Port of Tilbury and Port of Hull who represented our industry at the 2006 Grand Prior Challenge held in Scarborough on 15 November. Competing against the winners from other sectors of industry, both teams performed very well and against strong opposition to come seventh in their respective lanes. Special congratulations go to Steve Fogarty from Port of Tilbury, who won ‘Runner Up to Highest Individual’ trophy and to Brian Bass from the Port of Tilbury who won the ‘Champion Reserve’ trophy.

The 17th National First Aid Competitions were held in Llandudno on 5 May 2006. A total of 24 teams competed on the day, 14 in the Mainstream Lanes and 10 in the Novice Section together with 4 reserves.

Grand Prior Trophy Challenge

Congratulations to Port of Hull and Port of Tilbury, the winning teams from Lanes “A” and “B”, who will go forward to represent the ports’ industry at the St John Grand Prior Trophy Challenge to be held in Scarborough on 15 November 2006.
