Safer Ports Initiative - Phase 2

The Safer Ports Initiative was launched nationally in September 2002 to drive down the number of accidents that occur each year in ports. It is pleasing to report that the accident statistics produced by PSSL for 2004 show that the accident reduction targets set for the Initiative have been exceeded one year before the target date of the end of 2005. This Information Paper provides further information on progress against the targets and on the future of the Initiative.
