The HSE Ports and Logistics Strategy

Purpose:
Implement a comprehensive ports and logistics strategy for next 3-4 years – see attached information paper 2011/014

  • identify major risks and health and safety issues in road haulage, warehousing, logistics and ports industries
  • work in partnership with industry to develop plans, projects and initiatives to address these across the transport chain.

Current Stage:
HSE plan to hold an informal ‘round table’ meeting of key stakeholders

What is industry being asked to do?
Set out its priorities identify major issues of concern, topics of common interest and possible action plan areas.

Deadline:
Meeting(s) on either 25 July or 27 July in London

What PSS will do
We will attend the meeting and present a joint response from all of the members who wish us to do so – please contact us by 25 June if you would like us to submit information on your behalf

If there are Members who wish to attend the meeting as well, we will request additional seats from the HSE. As hosts, any additional seats will be at the HSE’s discretion.
