Better Backs Campaign

The HSE has relaunched its Better Backs Campaign for 2006. The HSE’s continuing focus on musculo-skeletal issues is due to the fact that 4.9 million working days are lost each year due to back pain. It is the single largest, occupational health, cause of sickness absence in the UK with a predicted cost to business of around £5 billion per year. The backs campaign includes a dedicated website – which provides advice for employers – and a Better Backs telephone helpline.
